IC CONTACT
[it takes a second for the response to come through. she sounds confused.]
This is... Severa? Um. If you need me, leave a message here. I'll respond as soon as I'm able.

that said, I don't mind if I do.
[And so Lina goes quiet for several minutes, making her way over - glad that Severa gave her a handy out there, that way Lina didn't have to push forward with explaining her reasoning really just amounted to 'you have friends from home here, you might be interacting with them. also the whole Noire thing`. It's a frustrating thought, but one she shakes off fairly easily.
The cold and her lack of jacket helps, too.
In fact, for once, she doesn't bother knocking, she just shows herself in rather abruptly, dressed in pajama pants, a plain shirt, slippers and socks, and toting a small bag. She leans back against the door once she closes it, as if trying to forcibly keep the cold outside.]
J-jeeze, it's too cold out there...!
[Her voice shudders as she talks, and oblivious to her at the moment, it's very apparent that she's not wearing anything under her shirt thanks to the cold.]
no subject
[she gives Lina a once-over.]
Of course it is when you're dressed like that. You're not even—wow, you are underdressed. [no embarrassment, just slightly wide eyes.] Do you want me to get anything for you? A blanket or a bra or something?
no subject
[Lina answers, lying like a lying liar who lies, if just so she can barrel her way over and latch onto Severa like a horrible heat-leech, leaving the bag beside her once she's scrambled onto the couch.]
Okay, maybe I misjudged how cold I'd get just bumping over here real quick, we all make mistakes. You don't gotta get anything, just hold still for a while and I won't give you ice-hands under your shirt.
no subject
If you get under my shirt for even a second with those hands, I will throw you out on the street. I'm not joking.
[except with how she has her arm around Lina's shoulder, she might be joking.]
no subject
[Except not so much, because she's quite aware of the arm around her, and takes a moment to shuffle up closer, tucking her hands between Severa and the couch where the heat is the strongest. She sighs in contentment, coming down from the higher energy of teasing each other.]
Been a bit too long since we did this - how've you been sleeping lately, Sev?
no subject
Uh. About the same as usual?
[she hasn't had a terrible nightmare in a couple nights, but she's pretty sure it's the weather and her blankets contributing to that.]
Why do you ask?
no subject
Well... Since we talked at that party, the whole nightmare thing has been on my mind, about how I didn't have anything to fix them. I've never really been one to sit idle in the face of a challenge, though, and I set out to see if I could prove myself wrong.
[Hesitantly, she pulls one hand free to grab the bag, and sets it on Severa's lap.]
I wanted to have it done by that holiday, but it unfortunately didn't work out that way.
no subject
Lina...
[as politely as she can, she opens the bag, but her attention is still more on her friend than what's inside it.]
You made me something for my nightmares?
no subject
Lina's not actually looking at Severa at the moment, she's got her vision focused on the bag, if just because she's feeling pretty sheepish.]
I've tried to, yeah. I'm... Honestly not certain if it will work, because I haven't tested it yet. So, grain of salt and all. It's a little outside my usual magical purview...
no subject
If it works, great. But if it doesn't, you still made me something with your heart in it. [she looks at Lina.] I love it.
no subject
I'm glad. I just hope it works well - you deserve a shot at not being used to the nightmares.
no subject
[she's trying to ignore how cute Lina looks when she's happy.]
no subject
[That cute is going to continue, as Lina beams slightly at the praise, even if she does verbally bomp herself ever so slightly in response.]
no subject
I don't think that'll be a problem. [and her hand starts to move back to her side, but she decides she likes it better around Lina's shoulders.] You should be more confident in what you do even if it's not the kind of magic you normally make. That's what a real genius sorceress would do.
no subject
Well, if it was just a simple case of whether a spell was going to succeed or fail, then yes. When it involves my best friend's peace of mind, though, I can't help but be anxious - even after setting proper expectations.
no subject
I trust you, Lina. Even if it doesn't work, I know you did your best. Gods, listen to me, complimenting you all over like this. I'm going to give you a big head.
no subject
I already had a pretty big head related to my magic to start with, but I still appreciate the encouragement - trying something that isn't 'run off and blow the problem up' is some uncharted territory for me, y'know.
no subject
[and because Severa is incredibly smooth, she's going to take the opportunity to try to kiss Lina. nothing too intense, nothing more than something quick, but their faces are right there next to each other.]
no subject
[Severa's effort is accepted, and Lina presses back in that fleeting few moments, then biting her own lip once it ends. She draws her hands free of her hold on Severa, and use them to lightly brush through Severa's hair.]
I'm gonna be bugging you like, every morning to find out how your sleep was, I hope you're ready for that.
no subject
[she's smiling a little playfully, weighing the idea of just kissing Lina even more right now. she elects against it and keeps the conversation going instead, but her hands are just going to move to Lina's shoulders.]
I'll have to wake up every morning and text my best friend, and it'll probably be with good news? How will I ever adjust? I can't believe you're saddling me with such a burden.
no subject
Such is the cross to bear of being friends with Lina Inverse, I'm afraid.
no subject
You really need to start putting on warmer clothes if you're going to make a habit of this. No matter how cute the "just rolled out of bed" look is on you.
no subject
If I do that, though, I can't go leeching warmth off of you. Not that I really need any excuse to get up close, but it's more fun that way.
no subject
[she tries her best to keep her tone sardonic, but a smile cracks that facade after a second. her hands move around Lina's sides to her lower back to pull her closer.]
You are a dumbass.
no subject
Well. I only ever claimed to be a genius at magic.
[With that, she closes the gap, dropping her eyes closed as she presses her lips to Severa's. It'a a slow, lazy, affectionate kiss, and keeps her from blurting out stuff that she'd gladly barge through to get close to Severa.
For now, anyway.]
