[Lina also makes a noise with the sudden shift - it's more awkward surprise than anything, because that was unexpected and not quite good-feeling. Her hands draw back reflexively and she gives Severa a look of confusion and concern.]

[and once the wincing pain has subsided, which happens surprisingly quickly, she smiles down at Lina and laughs.]

[Lina's eyes widen for a moment, then her face scrunches and her head is moved in a jerky motion, the way one does when they realize they screwed up. She huffs, then lightly pats the edges of Severa's back, nudging her forward.]

Ah, dammit - sorry about that, let me fix that. C'mere, just lay right on me for minute.

[the reaction gets another earnest giggle from her, which isn't a look she thought she'd like on herself, but it's nice to be fun like this every once in a while. she spent so much of her childhood training for (and participating in) war that maybe she never got the chance... that's a lie, she's indulged plenty. just not like this.]

[instead of saying anything, she leans down on top of Lina, puts a hand in her hair, and kisses her. hey, Lina said nothing about that.]

[If Lina wasn't caught up in feeling junky about her screwup, she'd be more consciously glad that Severa seemed to be really, genuinely happy right now. The pressure of Severa's body is expected, but not the kiss. There's a muffled noise of surprise, but it fades with a slight pressing upward from her. She wants to call Severa a dumbass, because this will make it harder to focus on the spell, but...well, she's a genius, right?

At least the spell can be cast without words.

Her enthusiasm in the kiss seems to drop as she goes almost autopilot, laying glowing hands on Severa's back with a feather-light touch. A familiar, tingling warmth spreads out from them, running down the length of the scratchmarks and slowly mending them up without scarring. Once she feels the feedback of no more healing being done, the light fades, and her arms resume the embrace they were attempting before, and her focus shifts back to the shared kiss.]

[the feeling of magic running over her, running through her body is never going to get old, and Severa isn't sure she'll ever get used to it either, but as long as it comes with sensations like getting to kiss Lina every time, she can live with it. she can live very comfortably with it.]

[Likewise, Lina can live with using healing as an excuse to get more intimate with Severa. Not that she has any lack of that in her life, but more is always good.

Lina rolls her eyes a bit, then grins back up at Severa.]

Please, if you're planning to distract me like I would expect you to, I wouldn't stand a chance.

[She waggles her tongue at Severa, just to make sure her point gets across.]

[oh, point made, but Severa's not going to let that stand.]

I don't have to be having sex with you to distract you, you know. That's just the easiest way to do it because you get distracted so much.

[after Lina gets that last part out, Severa curls her arm and shows off her biceps even more deliberately. training so much is working out for her, and the wolfskin part certainly helps. she's not ignoring the part where they have their own intimate way of sounding like they're insulting each other, but it's more fun to tease her.]

I didn't expect you to be ogling me so shamelessly, Lina. Are you into muscles? Do we have that in common, too?

[There's some slight bristling, like she just got caught raiding the cookie jar - both literal, and metaphorical thanks to Lina's physical state at the moment. Her ears dock backwards and diagonally, as she looks a bit flustered.]

Look, at this point, it's a little late to be busting me for staring. Or did you never notice where my hands wandered every time I've went down on you, huh?

[There's an extended pause before she looks off to the side.]

...but yes.

[Severa laughs, but not in a mean way, and her arm lowers so she's no longer flexing. slowly, like she doesn't really want to, she finally pulls out of Lina, then comes down to her best friend's side and rests there, on the bed, while looking almost directly at her.]

I'll be sure to go to the gym more often and really give you something to get flustered over.

[The laugh gets paid no mind, since it lacks malice, and Lina's expression softens - and then tightens up like she was hit with a chill as Severa pulls out, and she bites back a whimper at the sensation.

Once Severa is at her side, Lina scoots over closer, huddling up against her and resting her head on Severa's shoulder.]

If you really want to do that, I'm not gonna discourage it, but at the same time, you don't have to, you know. You fluster me plenty as you are.

[this is nice, having Lina so close. this must be that post-coital glow she's heard so much about, except lately a lot of her sexual escapades haven't had time for this. she'd... like to experience it more.]

[There's certainly a considerable amount of glow involved, but there's also a considerable amount of it that's just Lina being Lina. She can't help looking pretty sheepish at Severa's explanation, though it gets a light razzing from her.]

You're a lot better at hiding it than I am! [Read: I wish you were as bad as me at hiding it.]

[There's a pause, and her tone drops.] Hey, Sev - you mind if I lay on you?

[of course she is. she'd had to do it most of her life. before she can let that thought hit her too hard, though, Lina's saying something else—and it's a bit of an odd request. she quirks up her eyebrow slightly.]

I mean, sure, but it's probably not going to be very comfortable.

[Lina's own experience with that kind of thing is a few fleeting moments, most of which were thankfully localized without much need to hide them, but that's another story or few.

Once Severa approves, though, her ears perk up and she pushes up, wobbling some when she got on her knees, but faring well enough to carefully drape herself onto Severa, resting her head on her chest and looking quite content with herself, while her tail slowly swishes in the air behind her.]
